My husband and I are now on week 3 with whole30. All I can say is that we will be making some permanent lifestyle changes when this is over. We feel great! Prior to getting started with whole30 I always felt bloated and my stomach just didn’t feel right especially after eating a lot of grains. All my issues are gone and my stomach feels great. Another great benefit to feeling great is that I lost an inch and a half around my waist as well as and inch around my thighs.

The meal plan with Whole30 is simple but not always easy. It does take planning and you will have a lot of dishes :). Our grocery bill did go up a little but I like to say “you pay now or you pay later”. I would rather increase my grocery budget and nourish myself with good food then end up with health issues later because I didn’t fuel my body right. I feel like the positives far out weigh the negatives.

In the picture below you can see how I have used my planner to keep track of my meals. Planning will help you to succeed on this program. I sit down and pick out my recipes each week and make a grocery list of all the ingredients I will need. Success doesn’t just happen, it’s planned for! Planning is EVERYTHING!

The bottom line is this program just makes sense! This is the way we were intended to eat from creation. Most of the food sold in the grocery store today is unfit for human consumption. And we wonder why disease is rampant. Food is the best medicine.
